Charlestown Five Cents Savings Bank Building (second) is built.

[1875-CHS] Architect: Moffette & Tolman. Originally the Masonic Building, it is designed in the High Victorian Gothic style [Ruskinian Gothic style], with a mansard-roof and limestone façade, and is located at 1 Thompson Square. The bank and the Masonic Lodge for which the top floors were built occupy the building until 1978.
